Howard co-wrote the title track of The Judd's very first studio album Why Not Me with Sonny Throckmorton and Brent Maher.  This intimate track was the country duo's second #1 hit on the country charts, and spent 15 weeks on the country charts.              

        Swedish country singer-songwriterJill Johnson recorded the hit for her 2009 cover album Music Row.  Emily Ann Roberts also performed "Why Not Me" on the ninth season of The Voice.  Roberts' recording reached #10 on the iTunes charts.
